Ovarian cancer, uterine cancer (endometrial cancer), and cervical cancer are three distinct types of gynecological cancers that affect the female reproductive system. Each type originates in different parts of the reproductive organs and has unique characteristics.
Ovarian cancer starts in the ovaries, which are the two small, almond-shaped organs that produce eggs and hormones in women.
Symptoms:
Uterine cancer, specifically endometrial cancer, starts in the lining of the uterus (endometrium).
Symptoms:
Cervical cancer develops in the cells of the cervix, the lower part of the uterus that connects to the vagina.
